The 2016 NBA Finals are over and done with but the matchup left everyone with quite a few lasting impressions. Whether it be JR Smith’s shirtless shenanigans after winning the chip, Ayesha Curry accusing the NBA of rigged or the now infamous thirsty woman in the crowd who was lusting after Stephen Curry. Internet trolls worked tirelessly to find the identity of the woman immediately after the photo went viral and learned that she is model Roni Rose.
Though her name rose (pun intended) to prominence during the series, it looks like it may be tied to some shady dealings. On her social media accounts, Rose promoted Mad Girls Fitness Club, which is believed to be a modeling agency. Today though, the company’s owner Dominic Salazar was arrested by Bay Area police officers for allegedly running a prostitution ring via his business. According to reports, Salazar would put up modeling ads online in order to attract aspiring models but later coerce them to work as sex workers before he actually found them modeling work. Police officers went undercover and spoke to women who were said to be being trafficked by Salazar.
Salazar has been charged with false imprisonment and pimping.
