All-Pro NFL running back Adrian Peterson will unquestionably be a first ballot Hall Of Famer whenever he decides to hang up the cleats, and that won’t be anytime soon according to him. While at The Argyle, the Minnesota Vikings star was approached by TMZ and asked if there was any truth that he would retire prior to the start of next season, a la Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch.

Peterson playfully confirmed the rumors, only to squash them. He went on to double down on his claim that he will continue to play by adding that his goal is to break the single season NFL rushing record in the coming season. At 31-year-olds old and playing behind a questionable offensive line, that may be a lofty goal but Adrian Peterson is not your average run-of-the-mill running back so only time will tell.
