Yesterday [Wednesday, June 29, 2016] Dyckman Basketball was back in action as weather played a huge role with games being postponed on the preceding Monday and Tuesday. Hot 97 was out on the scene as Jimmy Jazz’s team went up against The Money Team/Showstoppers.
An even match-up on paper, Jimmy Jazz started the game strong and never let go of the pressure they applied to TMT. As a result, the referees made an executive decision to call the game with three minutes left, as Jimmy Jazz ran away with a 20-point blowout victory with the score of 65-45. Leading the way for Jimmy Jazz was the outstanding shooting performance of Jomo Belfor with 18 points: Belfor knocked down 4 three’s, displaying dead eye accuracy with defenders draped all over him.
Former Dallas Maverick forward Jarrid Famous was excellent in the post as he was able to muscle his way in for baskets down on the block.
Meanwhile, Showstoppers was led by Malik Thomas as he was able to draw quite a few foul calls along with knocking down tough jump shots. The athletic forward finished with 14 points and 3 rebounds.
