Metro Boomin is noted as one of the top producers in the game right now. And it’s not only his influence on the production side of things that has the world talking, it’s also his fashion sense.
Metro has teamed up with New Balance to give us a custom 998 NB1 sneaker. The shoe is balanced with an all-black texture, accented with both pink and grey. The sneaker is retailed for $190 and is available now.
The Atlanta-based producer’s journey has led him from producing for acts like Gucci Mane to producing for huge films such as Creed. As he pushes through the culture, his appeal pushes to new heights.
“Outside of music, I’ve always been into the whole fashion aspect,” Metro Boomin says in a short-doc promoting the sneakers. The signature shoe compliments Metro Boomin’s style and simplistic value on fashion. He’s a guy that likes to keep things as basic as possible, but adds small pops to his look for more smash. “I enjoy people enjoying my music, that’s what I strive for.”
As Metro seeps through the fashion world, we’ll likely see him doing a lot more collaborations. In 2015, Young Metro was featured in BAPE and Futura’s capsule collection. There will be more to come in the future for this young exciting producer.
