The deadliest attack occurred in the city of Medina, a popular Islamic site due to the burial of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). There are four reported deaths and one wounded there. The attack in the city of Qatif resulted in only one death—the suicide bomber. He attempted to launch the explosion at a Shiite mosque but failed and ended up killing himself. The last of the three attacks occurred in Jeddah, near the U.S. Consulate. The attacker was approached by Saudi police and detonated his explosive belt. No deaths were reported, but the officers were injured.

The bombings have yet to be connected to a specific terrorist group, and the attacks followed Jihadi assaults just last week.
