Iggy Azalea can’t seem to catch a break.
Fresh off a public break up from former fiancé and Lakers player Nick Young due to cheating, the rapper is now battling with Young’s ex-girlfriend/baby mother for her to keep her mouth shut about the rapper or discussing her any further.
According to the Daily Mail, Keonna Green is pregnant with the basketball player’s second child (the two already have a 4-year-old, Nick Jr) and Azalea wants nothing more to do with the situation. Her lawyers are warning Green to not have any plans on mentioning the rapper in any potential interviews.
Iggy’s lawyer, Howard King, in a statement says “Ms. Green has done enough to embarrass herself by her pathetic efforts to profit from Iggy’s hard-won celebrity, all in exchange for whatever paltry sums she can garner in exchange for peddling tales of her tasteless exploits.
“Any mention of Iggy in your client’s efforts to sell a story to whatever tabloid needs to fill its pages with the fetid story of your client’s classless antics will be considered a violation of Iggy’s rights of publicity, subjecting Ms. Green and any publication that airs your client’s soiled laundry to significant liability.”
It sucks when lawyers have to get involved, but this is due to the fact Green’s lawyers supposedly told TMZ: “Due to an exclusive deal with another media outlet, Keonna and I cannot comment on the validity of any of the allegations.” In response to this, Iggy took to her legal team to take action.
The Iggy and Nick Young saga all began when fellow Laker D’Angelo Russell leaked a video of Young admitting to cheating, and from there everything came crashing down. For a brief minute the couple seemed to have gotten over the incident, but soon again they were back in turmoil. Normal breakup procedures ensued such as Iggy moving out of Nick’s home, giving back gifts such as cars and jewelry, and dipping back into old flames, hence Nick’s second child on the way.
