Snoop Dogg will headline a “unity party” at the Democratic National Convention: a free concert for invitation only delegates and politicians.
Grammy Award-winning rock band Los Lobos will also perform at the event along with Lady Gaga, Lenny Kravits, and DJ Jazzy Jeff.
The convention will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from July 26-28. Philly, the city of Brotherly Love, hosts great musical events over the summer—the Roots Picnic which was last month [June 2015] and JAY Z’s Made In America Music Festival, which is September 3-4 during Labor Day Weekend.
Snoop Dogg publicity declared his support for Hillary Clinton during an appearance of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live in May 2015. “I’ll say that I would love to see a woman in office because I feel like we’re at a stage in life to where we need a perspective other than the male’s train of thought,” Snoop told Andy Cohen. “And just to have a woman speaking from a global perspective as far as representing America, I’d love to see that. So I’ll be voting for Ms. Clinton.”
