Rapper Danny Brown has officially announced the title to his upcoming release.
Utilizing Twitter, the Detroit native let it be known that he has decided on the name Atrocity Exhibition for his new album. Inspired by the J.G. Ballard novel and rock band Joy Division‘s track holding the same title, the artist is keeping things true to his eccentric style as he attributes Wal-Mart shopping trips and exercise as influences for the overall project to Beats 1’s Zane Lowe, as well.
The first single from the forthcoming project, “When It Rain” delivers a fast-paced beat and flow that gives an auditory representation of what paranoia would sound like. Attaching a glitchy visual to the uptempo cut, Brown’s first visual for Atrocity Exhibition definitely delivers an exciting preview of what’s to come.
Due out in September, the Old follow-up is building to be a piece of work consistent with Brown’s one-of-kind style of entertainment.
