Ever imagine Michael Jackson doing karaoke to a Drake song? How about Rihanna twerking to a children’s classic?
Jimmy Fallon’s “Wheel of Musical Impressions” is bringing to light your wildest dreams. This time fulfilling your musical fantasies, Céline Dion appeared on last night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon [Wednesday, July 21]. The iconic singer’s first spin lead her to a rendition of “Frère Jacques” in the stylings of Cher. That was only the warm-up to a night of comedy.
Next up, Fallon took on “One Dance” by Drake, introduced by a few lines from “Smooth” Criminal” by Michael Jackson. But since the game is not called “Wheel of Musical Mashups,” the television host had to go full on into the King of Pop with Drake’s dancehall-infused single off Views. Hands down! The best of night went to Dion’s impression of Rihanna. The crossover between “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” and Rih’s “Work” had the Canadian singer…shakin’ a lil’ somethin’.
Dion finished the game with by taking on Sia’s range and signature hair. Unfortunately, Fallon didn’t have a black and white wig to cover her eyes as she belted lyrics. But he did pull out a stuffed panda from beneath his desk—the perfect bedtime buddy for children as they hear lullaby “Hush, Little Baby” mixed with Sia’s “Chandelier.” Eventually, Dion tossed the toy and grabbed her own locks to hide behind.
