Music and acting aren’t the only things the Smollett family has on their plate. Chef Jake Smollett and siblings Jocqui, Jojo, Jussie, Jazz and Jurnee take on the culinary world with new show, Smollett Eats—where they heat up their hosting skills and whip up scrumptious meals to entertain guests.
Food Network and Cooking Channel executive Didi O’Hearn said in a statement, “It has been long known that the Smollett family is endlessly talented and in Smollett Eats, we are excited to offer our audience an unexpected look at this tight-knit family’s passion for food and entertaining.” Triage Entertainment and Smollett Collective Inc. team up to produce the latest network addition.
The siblings’ first food critics come for a day of birthday fun and child-friendly treats. In the show’s debut [Saturday, August 20], Jazz wants an upgrade from a typical second birthday party to a chic tea party fit for her daughter, Nylah. But her busy party-planning schedule leaves the cooking up to brothers Jake, Jocqui, Jojo, and Jussie.
The rest of the series is packed with a little sibling rivalry, surprises, delicious family recipes, and cameos from the rest of the Smolletts. As Food Network describes, “The six siblings prove that a family that cooks together stays together, and where there’s food, there’s love.”
Check out the premiere of Smollett Eats on August 20 at 12:30 p.m.
