“I’m a little more comfortable up here now,” Harlem rapper Dave East said after murdering a freestyle over French Montana‘s “Locked Jaw” at Hot 97 with Funk Flex.

East has been hard at work, often mentioning his dedication and influence in getting NYC rap back to its roots; and things are finally starting to show for it. One of the greatest artists to come out of New York, Nas officially co-signed East early in his career—and anybody who knows Hip Hop knows that’s a huge deal.

Just off of the strength of that fact, it should be understood that East has some serious talent.

If you haven’t already, watch him show you why he’s co-signed by the self-proclaimed God’s son (Nas) in Flex’s seventh installment of the freestyle series, titled “Freestyle 007”.
