According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Ciara claims to have lost a $500,000 deal due to Future‘s slandering tweets in January of this year.
Ciara claims a cosmetics company backed out of a potential deal with the singer once they caught wind of Future’s defaming comments about her on social media regarding their son. According to these legal documents, Ciara claims Future ruined her “positive reputation” and made her look “controlling, dishonest, malicious, unreasonable, evil, conniving.” Ciara fired back at Future’s defaming tweets in February, hitting him with a $15 million dollar lawsuit that was seemingly fueled by defamation, but it is now revealed that it is fueled by her loss of opportunity due to his comments.
In April, Future filed a countersuit against the singer claiming, “his alleged slander could not affect her reputation because her following wasn’t large enough”. After being awarded joint custody of their son, Future dropped his lawsuit against singer. The singer married her husband Russell Wilson on July 6 in England despite rumors that one of Future’s songs suggested that he would harm to the football player and now husband to Ciara.
Although, Future dropped his suit, it seems as if Ciara will continue with her lawsuit against the rapper for costing her more than what she bargained for.
