Comedian Katt Williams was arrested in Los Angeles on Sunday [July 24] on suspicion of battery after having an unfavorable exchange with a woman at the Sportsmen Lodge, a hotel he was staying at in Studio City, CA.

According to the LA Times, policemen were called to the scene after about 11 a.m. from the victim, who works for the hotel about being in an altercation with Williams.

The woman was said to suffer minor injuries due to the altercation and Williams was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of battery and was held on $20,000 bail which he posted himself and was released around 4 p.m. and set to appear in court on August 18.

This is not Williams’s first interaction with the law—this is actually his fourth arrest this year. He was arrested back in February for hitting a clerk at a pool store in Gainesville, GA. He was also arrested the next month in March for having a fight with a 17-year-old boy, which was seen all over the Internet in a viral video, which spawned many memes. Lastly, he was arrested again in April in Atlanta, GA for allegedly throwing a saltshaker at an employee at an Atlanta local seafood restaurant, Spondivits.
