Even upon welcoming his daughter into the world, rapper Wale is still making moves to SHiNE.
During the Panorama festival in New York City this past Saturday night [July 22] the Grammy-nominated artist premiered his new video “My PYT” for the concert-going crowd. Making its debut on the Google Play Music block, the summer-centric visual played for a crowd of 80,000 people. Initially playing right before the start of Kendrick Lamar’s performance, the Colin Tilley-directed video played once again on the cube-shaped LED-display as the festival attendees exited the grounds.
The first single off of Wale’s upcoming album SHINE, “My PYT” is a colorful jumpstart to the building anticipation of his fifth studio album. While the DC native is handling daddy duties and finishing up his upcoming LP, fans can enjoy his new mixtape SUMMER ON SUNSET in the meantime. SHINE is expected to be released in the fall.
