Ever since Kanye West actively starting using Twitter he’s provided us with an ongoing stream of consciousness. Yesterday [July 30] Mr. West had an epiphany about the world of music streaming and strategically felt he had to share it with his followers.

Competition between the major streaming services Apple Music, Spotify and Tidal has led many music lovers to sign up to all three, due to artists exclusively dropping albums on any one of the platforms. Mega releases like Drake‘s Views and Beyoncé‘s Lemonade are just two examples. However Kanye West has had enough, even though his own The Life Of Pablo was a TIDAL exclusive for a very long time.

Yeezy is calling for two of the three giants (Apple Music and TIDAL) battling for subscribers to end their feud. Tweeting candidly as always, the 39-year-old admitted their “beef” was “f*cking up the music game.”

As co-owner of TIDAL and a close friend of both JAY Z and Drake’s, only time will tell if ‘Ye’s outburst is random or premeditated. Could he know something about a possible merger already in the works that we don’t and is breaking the news to us in his own cryptic way? Time will tell.
