Andrew Wiggins–who has cornrows now–is unequivocally on the short-list of the NBA’s future superstars. The freakishly-athletic talent, who won Rookie of the Year in 2015, is a core centerpiece (along with 2016 Rookie of the Year Karl Anthony-Towns) of the Minnesota Timberwolves’ youth movement, which appears to be progressing quite impressively. Even Kobe Bryant‘s father thinks Wiggins is the only athlete in the league capable of becoming “the next Kobe.”
For now, however, A. Wiggins fans will settle for seeing the Canada native in next year’s dunk contest, perhaps next to his 2-time reigning Dunk Contest champion teammate, Zach Lavine. He’s certainly got the hops, and judging by the above and below video clips, he’s got the difficulty level down as well. Watch Wiggins come within inches of nailing a 720-degree dunk with perceived ease. It’s really got to be a fun time to be a Timberwolves fan. Hey, the playoffs might be in the cards this season. Finally!
