There’s still hours until DJ Snake drops his debut album, but his singles already have us turnt—not to mention his previews on Snapchat and hit-making features.
Take the French DJ’s latest work, “The Half.” Swizz Beatz, Jeremih and Young Thug jumped on the very track. “Talk to ‘em! Rewind now,” Swizz hollers in the background. This single will definitely be a hit in clubs.
“The Half” isn’t available on iTunes or Soundcloud. But “Middle” with Bipolar Sunshine, “Talk” with George Maple and absolute headbangers “Ocho Cinco” with Yellow Claw and “Propaganda” are. You can hear clips of other tracks like “Pigalle” featuriing Moksi on Snapchat.
Despite being his first album, DJ Snake named the project Encore. Since it follows his successful career lined by “Lean On” and “Turn Down For What,” the title isn’t so off-track. Very few producers can capture the crossover between EDM and hip hop and his ability to do so should attract a decent-grossing album.
The 14-track album comes out at midnight [August 5, 2016] under Interscope Records.
