But it didn’t come without some controversy. Rumors have been swirling ever since Drake dismissed Meek Mill in their short beef about who would be the next to take on the 6 God. We’ve been hearing Joe Budden’s name a lot, and there were even a rumors about Eminem (before they were revealed to be a joke). But last night, Drake was the one taking shots.

He came out on stage during his performance, and shouted to the crowd, ““They telling lies on Hot97! Fire Funkmaster Flex and I’ll do ya show.” The history between these two goes back to last summer, when Funkmaster Flex supported Meek Mill’s claim that Drake used a ghostwriter for some of his songs. Flex played reference songs to support the claim, and it is clear Drake has not forgotten that Flex came out against him.

Flex, not one to hide, tweeted a response last night, promising some juicy details this weekend.

Things are clearly about to go down this Saturday night, and there will surely be a ton of bombs dropped while Flex reveals to the world what he has on Drake.
