According to Deadline, NBA forward Blake Griffin preps to play a new position. The Los Angeles will work on creating a television show inspired by his life and act as the executive producer.

The animated series focuses on the culture shock Griffin and his family experienced once drafted to the Clippers in 2009. For the Catfish farmers, California differed greatly from Oklahoma. Based on the Griffins, the traditional values of the characters will clash with their less modest surroundings in Los Angeles. Griffin’s semi-autobiographical show takes cues from Will Smith’s acclaimed comedy, similar in nature and setting. Thus, its name, “Okies of Bel-Air,” might sound a bit familiar.

Written by comedian Sean O’Connor of the Late Late Show, Okies of Bel-Air caught the attention of Fox. The network ordered a pilot presentation, which will be provided by Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox TV.
