“Gold Medal Jones” is what Mike Shoemaker of Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Awesomes, and SNL is calling her. Jones is definitely making Twitter never want to lose her again with her posts on Rio Olympic competitions. From her very patriotic apparel to her outbursts as she watches the television, the comedian spices up the network’s broadcasts for social media.
Shoemaker contacted Jim Bell, who has been executive producer of NBC Olympics since 2012. He tagged the Bell on one of Jones’ swimming comments and tweeted, “Note to my friends @jfb & #nbcolympics: Get @Lesdoggg to Rio & give her a microphone. 30% more USA gold + #ratings.” Bell accepted this unofficial application to join NBC Olympics and asked Jones to talk moe in detail tomorrow.
