Kendrick Lamar stars in the latest Reebok Campaign ad as he talks humble beginnings, reebok collaborations and much more.

Shortly after the release of his Reebok classic leather “Perfect split” reebok has released a visual to match. The visual is directed by Nabil as Kendrick is seen speaking in white and black color montages as he gives insight on humble beginnings growing up in the projects as a teenage rapper and his first introduction to the Reebok Classic shoe.

“When you think about rhymes and style you always want a classic feel,” he said. “So my first introduction to a classic shoe was the moment I stepped in school, and I said to myself, ‘I want to put something down on paper.’”

“I started writing. And everybody in the classroom was wearing Reebok classic,” he added. “Hip-hop was more than just the music. It’s part of culture. It’s part of having style. It’s part of the whole graffiti and arts.”

The Reebok classic in leather will release in five different colorways with red/white, black/white, grey/black as each pair will include the suede, nubuck, leather, mesh, white outsole and gum bottom details. The collection is now available at a set price of $74.99 for both men and women at select retailers and online.
