We’ve become quite familiar with Nipsey Hussle’s Marathon Monday campaign as it seems each release comes with more respect for, and more passion from the Crenshaw rapper. It just happens that Nipsey’s 31st birthday fell on a Monday. It’s almost certain he was showered with love and gifts on his born day but as the fan oriented artist he is, he announced a new campaign that has definitely raised the stakes.
Yesterday [August 15th] Nipsey took to Twitter to instruct fans to head to his website for his latest campaign announcement. In addition he advised fans to head over to DatPiff to download his new Slauson Boy 2 mixtape.
The new mixtape is a compilation of all the Marathon Monday releases, in addition to a new song titled Mercy ft. Stacy Barthe.
If fans did in fact head over to NipseyHussle.com, they would see that Nipsey has launched a #Proud2PayUBac campaign. The #Proud2PayUBac campaign references Nipsey’s original #Proud2Pay campaign that was used for fans to purchase his two $100 albums, Crenshaw and Mailbox Money. Now, Nipsey is providing a personal experience to the first 10 fans that purchased the past two albums by taking them on the journey of the inspirations behind Victory Lap while allowing them to hear Victory Lap before anyone else.
The announcement read as follows:
