Based on Margot Lee Shetterly’s upcoming book of the same title, Hidden Figures, tells the untold true story of the three Black women who helped launch the first American astronaut John Glenn into orbit.

Despite being NASA scientists and mathematicians, Katherine Johnson (Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Spencer), and Mary Jackson’s (Monáe) contributions to one of the biggest events in American history is hardly known, likely due to their gender, race, and the era that was the 1960s. Their story, once silenced, will now be brought to the big screen to educate us all. Kevin Costner and Kirsten Dunst are also set to star in this film.
