Considering himself that of a comedic rockstar, Kevin Hart lives up to every bit of the newly created term. His latest box office film, “What Now?” hit theaters today and is set to be his biggest film yet.
Hart’s promotional tactics are unparalleled being that his fan base is so diverse. His promotional run includes appearances on ESPN, CBS Philly, The Today Show, The Steve Harvey Morning Show, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and a cover story for Ebony Magazine.
In addition to major television appearances, Kevin Hart has taken it upon himself to buy out entire theaters for fans to watch “What Now?” and witness him present it personally. For the opening night, Hart bought out the AMC Loews Georgetown in Washington DC. He also took to his Instagram to let his fans know to be prepared for him to pop up in movie theaters to surprise them and show his appreciation for their support of the film.
But by far the best promotional strategy he has utilized thus far is his new ‘What Now’ mixtape presenting his alter ego and rap persona, Chocolate Droppa. The “What Now” mixtape is a total of 17 tracks with features from Chris Brown, Big Sean, Tink, Lil Yatchty, Akon, and PnB Rock to say the least. Kevin Hart has changed the comedy game in more ways than one, but the new ‘What Now” mixtape proves that Kevin Hart is in his very own lane, and we’re just glad to be able to witness the fruits of his labor.
