This past weekend at the Immanuel & First Spanish Church (Brooklyn, NY), Maino was awarded with 4 Citation Awards for his work in Brooklyn communities. The Brooklyn native was given the Exemplary Service in the Community Award, the “Turn Your Life Around” Award, and was named the “Hip Hop Ambassador Of Brooklyn”.
The selected recipients of each award contained recognition from some of Brooklyn’s most influential figures; including The City Council, The New York State Assembly, The Brooklyn Borough President and the New York State Senate. Also in attendance was Power 105.1’s DJ Self, who as awarded for his service within the community as well.
Following his nominations, Maino looks to continue his impact on local communities. He will be hosting a Children’s Christmas Extravaganza on Saturday,December 24th at the Brooklyn Study Dome. The event will go on from 2-7 p.m., and any additional information can be found here.
