Chance The Rapper has undoubtedly become a force in the global community as well as in the music game.
His third mixtape Coloring Book is the first stream-only project to chart Billboard 200. But aside from making great music, he has made positive impacts within the young community. The Chicago emcee led a parade to the polls on election day following a concert, prompting hundreds of young people to vote early. He also worked alongside Barack Obama on My Brother’s Keeper Challenge, and pledged to donate $1 million to Chicago public schools.
Chance is definitely worthy of this special recognition. The BET Awards is hosted by Leslie Jones and airs on Sunday, June 25th.
