Last week at SIR Studios in Midtown Manhattan, Blockshare CEO and artist MARQUEE hosted her long anticipated full length solo debut ‘Femme Fatale’ on her own imprint. Derived from the name of her former group that was signed to the Trackmasters label in the late 90s, Femme Fatale is a refreshing return to the days of the qualified fencee. Featuring Hip Hop royalty such as the legendary Lord Finesse behind the boards on some of the most memorable tracks and artists such as The Firm’s Nature, Organized Konfusion’s Prince Po and the beautiful songstress Monifah, Femme Fatale is a breth of fresh air for female emcee aficionados.
The release party, which was sponsored by Cliquot Vodka, hosted a modest 50 guests, however, among them were the artists who appeared on the album as well as original Juice Crew member Tragedy Khadafi, NYC based visual artist Uncutt Art and some of MARQUEE’s closest associates.
