Karen Civil and Adidas hosted the first ever Live Civil Basketball Camp, as a part of Live Civil Day 2017 in her hometown of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Civil and Adidas pulled out all the stops to ensure Elizabeth’s youth enjoyed the first ever community basketball tournament, hosted by Mouse Jones.

#LiveCivilDay successfully encouraged youth to stay fit, active, and motivated all summer long. Three local basketball organizations consisting of 100 kids were gifted brand new customized Adidas basketball uniforms, t-shirts, sneakers, book bags, Beats by Dre Power Beats and a months supply of Gatorade. Attendees were gifted with Adidas sack packs, sneakers and t-shirts at the Mickey Walker Recreational Center.

Jersey native, Kyle Anderson of the San Antonio Spurs, was on hand to help with coaching, shared the importance of staying healthy and pursuing your passion.

“Growing up my dad took me to a lot of events and I always enjoyed them, so giving back and supporting events now is only right… Its extra special when it’s the home state too,” stated Kyle Anderson.

In addition, 5 lucky children were selected to compete during an intense half-court shot contest. Jersey Native, Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers joined in on the tournament by gifting the winner with a signed game jersey.
