A seasoned veteran and well-respected producer in the game, Dr. Dre really has nothing left to prove to anyone. Yet today he decided to drop a new track titled “Gunfiyah.” It premiered on his Beats 1 Radio station, The Pharmacy, but now is available for listening at everyone’s leisure. The tempo is upbeat and Dre matches it with some quick rapping of his own. It’s great to see the longtime producer step back into the booth and provide some fire bars for our consumption.
Dre is reportedly working on Eminem’s forthcoming album, but we don’t need just when that is coming yet. The West Coast icon was also be featured in an HBO documentary series The Defiant Ones showing both his and Jimmy Levine’s ascension in the music industry through Interscope Records before ultimately ending up as executives within Apple.
