The swoosh logo is back as the official merchandiser for the Association. After witnessing previews of what the quality of the uniform it consists of, it is looking like it’s a “must buy” for die hard hoop fans.
Today, Nike reveals the NBA official 2017-2018 uniform to the public. Taking some of the players requests into consideration as to what would make their playing environment comfortable while sporting their teams uniform, Nike has decided to make some dope advancements into creating the league’s most comfortable uniform ever. Nike installed a 3D body maps of players, right down to the areas that get the hottest and the sweatiest, so designers could refine them with agility in mind. The uniforms will feature recycled polyester, with Nike noting that “each athlete uniform represents approximately 20 recycled PET bottles.” The uniforms also wick sweat and dry faster than in previous years.
In addition, they decided to come up with ways to get rid of its “Home” and “Road” uniform restrictions, allowing home teams to choose any of four or five options, depending on the team, as eight teams will get a “Classic” option if they decide to entertain it.
The Association Edition is the traditional home white uniform for all 30 teams. It represents an achievement that most athletes have worked their entire lives to reach.
The Icon Edition represents the team on the road and its rich heritage and iconic identity. This edition leverages the team’s primary color, a color that dominates the closets of the most diehard fans.
