Toronto producer/rapper Rari has been the talk of the town for a minute now. Apart from working with OVO-approved producer Hagler (Drake, A$AP Ferg, Ty Dolla Sign, Vince Staples) he has been consistenly dropping street records and truth be told his new song “James Harden” is by far his most emphatic. The Denis Beat-produced track is a left wrist anthem with plenty of sauce as well as full homage to the Houston Rockets’ player James Harden. The 88Everything-directed video captures the rapper’s lavish lifestyle; luxury whips and ladies repping his set. What’s interesting is that Rari’s approach to trap music is not mumble rap: he’s trying to catch a punchline every chance he gets. The result is hard-body rhymes with just enough bounce and menacing gutter vibes to have mans head-bopping all year. Watch it below.
