Jay-Z is furthering his effort to help with the ongoing Hurricane Maria relief of victims in Puerto Rico. Hosting a TIDAL charity event in Brooklyn, the streaming platform has also partnered with New York governor Andrew Cuomos and the Empire State Relief and Recovery Effort to export 200,000 pounds of supplies to Puerto Rico. Backing up Tidal’s generous offer is Fat Joe, Romeo Santos and Angie Martinez. Fat Joe released a statement explaining the urgency of helping those in dire need.
“My heart goes out to every single individual that has suffered as a result of this hurricane. Watching from the sidelines has been heartbreaking – let’s fill that plane and help our brothers and sisters! Even the smallest contribution will go a long way.”
