Later, while the former FLOTUS was headlining the Pennsylvania Conference for Women, the 44th president shared his own anniversary tribute with his “extraordinary” wife. In the video, which was shared to Obama’s official Facebook page, the former POTUS gushed over his wife of 25 years and marveled at her “saintly” and “patient” ways.

“I had to crash this party because today we have been married for 25 years,” Obama said with a smile in the video. “Now, the idea that you would put up with me for a quarter of a century is a remarkable testament to what a saintly, wonderful, patient person you are.” He added that Michelle has been an “extraordinary partner” and an example of honesty and determination to not only their daughters Malia and Sasha, but “the entire country.” People magazine reports that the former FLOTUS began tearing up during Obama’s tribute and was blushing by the time it ended, joking that she “better get home.” Obama’s video garnered more than 2 million views on Facebook.

Former Vice President Joe Biden also wished the couple a happy 25th wedding anniversary, tweeting, “Barack & Michelle: all of the Bidens send our love today on your 25th anniversary. May you have many more years of joy still to come.” The Obamas have previously been praised for their other adorable anniversary posts, in addition to birthday and Valentine’s Day messages.
