The performance was actually pretty impressive, as Miley edited the curse words on the spot. Jimmy Fallon came through with the melody, and it actually sounded like they practiced this before.

Although Miley did a solid job, it should not be mistaken as a re-acceptance into the Hip Hop community. She has been a controversial figure in Hip Hop following her 2013 VMAs performance, and collaboration with Mike WILL Made-It. After all that appropriation Hannah Montana suddenly realized that Hip Hop is misogynistic, and wanted to distance herself from the genre. But apparently she couldn’t get too far.
