New Yorkers have a reason to smile this morning. While these new “baby-faced” bombers are not the familiar faces of years past, they proved to be resilient. Gregorius tied the game in the first inning with a three-run home run. Followed by a solo home run by Brett Gardener.

After giving up momentous plays, Twins star pitcher, Ervin Santana was pulled off the mound after only two innings Jose Berrios was given the task of slowing down the bats of the Yankees.

However Aaron Judge stepped to the plate and delivered a two run blast in the forth inning. Jose Berrios would give up a total of three runs,

Yankees pitcher David Robertson delivered 3 1/3 scoreless innings on 52 pitches. Allowing only one run scored after taking command of the mound.”I just wanted to do everything I could to help our team win,” said David Robertson.

The Yankees celebrate their first playoff victory since 2012. They will face their toughest opponent in the top ranked Cleaveland Indians. The ALDS will begin on Thursday at 7:30 on FS1.
