Looks like Tidal X Brooklyn is the place to be. A couple of weeks ago Tidal released the line up for the upcoming benefit concert and it looks like Joey Bada$$ couldn’t miss out.
A member of Hip-Hop group Pro Era Joey teams up with Tidal to support victims affected by natural disasters worldwide. Joey will be performing alongside various entertainers such as JAY-Z, Jennifer Lopez, DJ Khaled, Chris Brown, Cardi B, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Vic Mensa, Yo Gotti, Fifth Harmony, and A$ap Ferg. Other artists that are said to take the stage are Kaskade, Daddy Yankee, Willow Smith, Chloe x Halle, Cipha Sounds, Jesse Reyez, Iggy Azalea Princess Nokia, Tee Grizzley and many more.
This is Tidal’s third annual benefit concert which is set to take place in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on October 17th hosted by the Voice of NY, Angie Martinez. All proceeds will go to organizations that support those affected by the recent horrific natural disasters including, Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria, and the numerous earthquakes that has hit Mexico. Some of the charities that are involved are The Empire State Relief and Recovery effort for Puerto Rico, Global Giving, All hands volunteers, Kids in need foundation, Direct relief, One America Appeal, Greater Houston Community Foundation, American Civil Liberties Union, Miami community foundation, and Habitat for humanity in Puerto Rico.
Tidal’s benefit concert is sponsored by Bacardi Rum who has already committed to donate $1.3 million to the charities. Since 2015 Tidal x Benefit concerts have raised more than 3 million dollars.
