This past Saturday, some of NYC’s biggest and brightest young poets gave a performance of a lifetime to represent the culture of Hip-Hop and sneaker gear.
Organized by two of city’s brightest sneakerhead of Matthew Jamison a.k.a “Mateo” and Nate McPherson, the Nuyorican Poets Cafe was the place to be to hear the perfect infusion of out of this world poets wowed fans with dope wordplay. Kick Your Game gives people the platform to bring out the talents to display to the masses as they continue to raise the bar of revolutionizing the art of stylish footwear with hip hop. Poets came out to express their love and passion for kicks. There were so many underrated talents such as Skulli Picasso, Melan, Christian, and Canitra who rocked the mic and made this slam a lit event for the ages. When the dust cleared, it was Skulli who came out victorious in this star studded event. Check out footage of it below.
