JAY-Z got his green eye on Harvey Weinstein’s interest in The Weinstein Company, according to TMZ. Hov and a nameless billionaire movie producer wants to buy Weinstein’s 23% interest in TWC.
The mogul has previously worked with TWC and Harvey in producing The Kalief Browder Story. He also has a Trayvon Martin mini-series slated for production. Additionally, JAY-Z has a first-look film deal with the production company.
According to sources, Jay wants his business relationship with TWC to continue although Harvey is out of the equation. Thus, he’s looking to acquire an equity stake in the company.

Ironically, Harvey cited JAY-Z’s “4:44” lyrics when issuing a remorseful statement. Well at least he tried.
