The word “fashion” has become synonymous with A$AP Rocky as he continues to built a stable foundation for himself in the fashion world. For his fourth collaboration with GUESS, Rocky and AWGE continue to channel 90’s nostalgia through brand’s latest collection.
The exclusive GUESS x A$AP ROCKY is inspired by GUESS vintage 90’s archive pieces, releasing various styles including, crewnecks, striped long and short sleeved tees, and an embroidered denim jacket. This capsule comes after an AWGE NYC-Style bodega pop-up of his GUESS X A$AP Rocky London collection in London.
Being from New York, I wanted to give the experience of something synonymous with New York and bring that across the globe. The bodega is significant because minorities owned it- Hispanics, Arabs, and Koreans. Outside of New York City, you don’t experience the whole traditional bodega feel. You don’t see cats lying on the bread, or asleep on the rice.
The NYC inspired line was sold in Selfridges department store in London. In February, A$AP Rocky and GUESS’ first collection, The A$AP Rocky’s coveted GUESS capsule was released, with the second collection released a month later. Two months after that, the duo released their third collection, “Ice Cream and Cotton Candy,” an assortment of the signature stripes and pastels pieces.
The latest collection’s pieces are deemed affordable, retailing for about $69 – $89, while the denim jacket is priced at $198. The GUESS x A$AP Rocky collection is available in the US and UK, online and select GUESS retail locations October 19.
