Former Cleveland Cavaliers Point Guard, Kyrie Irving, is causing some waves with his recent comments referring to the hometown of his former team and people aren’t taking it kindly.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s Wish Bone had some tough words for the basketball star stated that Cleveland is not a real sports city. TMZ caught up with the Cleveland native when Wish Bone suggested that Kyrie should stop being “an idiot.” “Don’ be an idiot. Definitely wrong. Cleveland’s one of the biggest sports cities there is..,” he bragged. “Maybe he’s thinking it’s gonna be better over there for him. But time will tell.” The rapper, born Charles Scruggs Jr., also predicted that the basketball star will have a less than warm welcome when he returns for the first time in Cleveland. The BTNH’s star was asked if there could be trouble for Irving in the streets, in which he replied “He definitely could have some issues. For sure. He badmouth the land something could happen to him. We put hands on him.”

While talking to reporters last week, Irving was heard praising Boston as a “thriving city,” and a “real” sports destination. “And then you move to the East Coast – into Boston – and it’s so real [and] alive” he stated. “An ongoing, thriving city … Boston, I’m driving in and [thinking], ‘I’m really playing in a real, live sports city?’ And a great city.” Kyrie played his first game after trading to the Celtics last night against his former team, The Cavaliers. It was during this game, his teammate Gordon Hayward suffered a fractured left ankle less than six minutes into the game.
