Frank Ocean’s dad, Calvin Cooksey, filed a defamation suit against his own son, and lost.
Cooksey said the R&B crooner defamed him in a social media revelation. The Blonde singer recalled a time that he went out to eat with his father and Cooksey called a transgender waitress “a fa**ot”. Papa bear felt like he was getting dragged and took his flesh and blood to court.
A Los Angeles judge heard the case on Tuesday, October 17th and ruled in the singer’s favor, saying that Cooksey failed to prove that his son defamed him. Frank’s attorney told TMZ, “It was a sad case, but we are glad that it ended in Frank’s favor and that it is over.”
It’s unfortunate to witness that Cooksey would try to extort his son for millions of dollars for revealing his truth, instead of initiating a sit down.
