There is no doubt DJ Kay Slay is infamous for his blazing mixtapes and their populous features. In September, Slay released his fourth compilation album, The Big Brother which is stuffed with features from the best emcees standing in the likes of Raekwon, Dave East, Kendrick Lamar, Jadakiss, Scarface, Styles P, Papoose, and 3D Na’Tee, to name a few.

With The Big Brother serving as the perfect project that represents the greatness of modern-day emcees with the use of powerful vets and new age shakers, it was only right that Hip-Hop legends come bless the album with their lyrical zest. This time around, the masses get the chance to witness hip-hop icons Ice T and Kool G Rap collaborate for the respectively titled track, “Hip-Hop Icons.”

Ice T and Kool G Rap ooze a hardcore lyrical exterior, as they put on display their next level skill set, showing the masses they will always be masters of the mic. Ice T announces through rhyme, “I ain’t new to this sh*t, I can rap for weeks, especially with these Kay Slay types of beats” as Kool G Rap seals the deal “every day generating a new hood chronicle…”

The visual for “Hip-Hop Icons” was released on Monday (October 24th) and shows the matured legends in a studio setting with Kay Slay dropping verses in straight classic hip-hop fashion. Watch DJ Kay Slay’s “Hip-Hop Icons” featuring Ice T and Kool G Rap, by pressing play above!
