After nearly nine years of marriage, Tamar Braxton has filed for divorce from her husband and manager, Vince Herbert. Braxton’s reps have labeled this “an extremely difficult decision.”
Tamar and Vince met and started dating in 2003 and said their “I do’s” in 2008. They have a four-year-old son together named Logan. There have been rumors for over a year now about trouble in paradise however nothing was confirmed until now.
Just last month, Tamar decided her new album was going to be her final album. She wanted to focus on the personal relationship she had with her husband as opposed to the relationship with him as her manager. She wanted to eliminate all the problems and stress in her marriage and wanted to protect her marriage.
The ladies of The Real, a show where Tamar was a guest co-host on, offered their sympathy to her.
This news comes a month before their ninth month anniversary as well as a few weeks away from their spinoff show, Tamar and Vince. Season 5 premieres on November 9th at 9 P.M. on WE TV. Braxton filed for joint custody but primary physical custody of their son with visitation rights for Herbert. She also wants the courts to deny Herbert spousal support.
