The Houston Astros have won the 2017 World Series for the first time in the franchise’s history and H-Town rapper Paul Wall has offered the entire team their own personal set of grillz for accomplishing the feat.

The rapper made the proposition on Twitter Sunday, and several players loved the idea. According to locker room talk, some players or their representative have already contacted Wall.

“It’s a celebratory thing,” Wall said. “We want to celebrate with them, congratulate them, here’s a memorable, commemorative grill.”

When asked if he would wear the grill, right-hander Lance McCullers said he “definitely” would.

According to Wall, he said the idea originally came about as a joke. He said he was at a Houston steakhouse when he ran into pitchers Justin Verlander, Dallas Keuchel and Tyler Clippard before the ALCS began.

“I was just joking around with them about it,” Wall said. “I said, ‘Hey man if y’all go to the World Series, I’m going to hook y’all up with some grillz.’ And they were like, ’Hell yeah we want some grillz.”

Wall co-owns a company that makes the grillz and estimated each set would cost $500. But he said it’s worth it.

“The offer is solid gold grills maybe with the Astros emblem engraved on them,” Wall said. “One or two is not too expensive, now if the whole 40-man roster wants a grill, oooh it could start getting expensive.

“But I’m a die-hard Astros fan and for me and (company co-owner) TV Johnny (Dang) to make grillz for them and congratulate them with a grill it means something, and that they would even accept or want a grill means a lot to me.”
