Bay Area rapper E-40 is not playing with his money, as he launches a lawsuit against author and radio personality Erika Kane.

According to TMZ, the rapper decided to sue Kane, who wrote the book Captain Save A Hoe under the moniker iikane, because she and her publishers stole the name from his song track, “Captain Save A Hoe.” The track appeared on his 1993 project The Mailman. E-40 claims that he owns the rights to the phrase and the author unrightfully stole it for her own monetary gain. He is requesting that a Judge pulls the book from the shelves, but also reward him with any profits Kane has made from the book.

The book that was published on October 31, circulates around a man by the name of George, or also known as Captain Save A Hoe. According to the summary of the story on Amazon, “Georgie becomes the best of the best, hairstyling everyone from his transgender uncle to A-list Hollywood stars. But all isn’t right in the world of Georgie.” The summary continues to explain that the protagonist, despite becoming obsessed with money and drugs, he falls in love with a woman named Anya, who happens to be a prostitute. Which pretty much explains the title of the book.

Attorneys for Erika Kane had no comment on the matter.
