While many ogled over and accepted the sad news of Meek’s sentencing, others such as Swizz Beatz, T.I. and Rick Ross are attempting to take action in promoting a specific petition. A petition on Change.org currently has over 160,000 signatures and pleads with Pennsylvania Governor Tom York to reevaluate the 2-4 year prison sentencing.

Former girlfriend and female rap superstar Nicki Minaj tweeted out last year her feelings on an advesary going to prison and the tweet has resurfaced. Did Nicki predict the future or was she not speaking on rap fan favorite Meek Mill at all? It’s most likely the latter answer, but the tweet if it were in reference to Meek is entertaining nonetheless.

Jay-Z shared a forthright plea for fairness and on stage addressed the Meek Mill situation speaking in a frustrated tone. Watch a video below of a recent interlude at a 4:44 tour concert stop, addressing Meek’s “unjust and heavy handed” legal judgement.

Overall, Meek’s sentencing is one that has not gone down without a variety of responses from some of the culture’s most lauded voices. Be sure to sign the petition on Change.org if you’r interested in the possibility of a judgment reevaluation for Meek and stay tuned for the latest on the case of illustrious Philly rapper.
