Tretorn celebrates 50 years with an exclusive collaboration with ATLien André 3000. Like many rappers have in the past, André has placed his mark on his own collection called “I André Benjamin will not draw in class”. The sneaker comes just in time for the holiday season. ComplexCon attendees were able to catch a sneak peak of the collection earlier this month, where his ‘Candy Cane’ shoe was exclusively launched at the Nylite 50 Artist Series.

Where did this design come from? This particular design was inspired by André’s own “daydreams sketches”, as well as his own closet. The Outkast member used to rock classic Tretorn Nylites as a kid in Atlanta in the late 80s and early 90s.

“Growing up, we’d all put our personal stamp onto the blank canvas of the Nylite and I’d sketch out my own designs. ” 3000 reminisces “This collaboration felt like fun because it brought me back to that place of personalizing these original designs.”
