Jordin Sparks secretly jumped the broom with her boo, Dana Isaiah, in mid-July and now they’re expecting their first baby.
The couple’s love story all started with Isaiah’s mother contacting Sparks’ mother to summon her daughter’s assistance in conving Isaiah to stay home and not pursue a modeling career in the West coast. The parents placed their children in a group chat, and they spoke everyday for a month until they finally met on Easter weekend when Isaiah flew out to Los Angeles.
A couple days after we had actually met, I was like in my head ‘That’s going to be my husband! That’s my husband right there,” Sparks told People, revealing that they decided not to move in together until they were married. “When I’m with him, I feel comfort and safety and calm and peace, and those aren’t things that I normally felt. So it was a little wake-up call for me”.
The married couple shared a bond over their similar Christian beliefs, and when they officially met, they already knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. It was love at first sight. They eloped on July 16 while vacationing in Hawaii, People reports. Then she found out she was pregnant a month later.
I’m extremely grateful because life is nuts. This is the best part so far because I have [Dana] and I have this little one and I have a new family. I’m the most content I’ve ever been in my life.
