Nicki Minaj’s Barbs Snatch Eve’s Edges Over Paper Magazine Remarks Jillian Bowe November 16, 2017 Exclusives, Her Source, News Exclusives Nicki Minaj stans were not here for Eve‘s comments surrounding the head Barb’s Paper magazine shoot. On Tuesday’s broadcast of the CBS chat fest The Talk, Eve who is now a full-time co-host of the show spoke out about the photoshoot Nicki participated in. It seems the first lady of Ruff Ryders wasn’t a fan of the racy spread and stated, “I worked with Nicki, I got to know her on Barbershop… she’s a nice person, she’s an amazing rapper, and as a lyricist I respect her. But as a woman, from my point of view, personally, I would not be able to do that. I think in this climate, it’s not good. I think every artist has a right to express themselves however they want to express themselves and I respect that as well. For me personally, as I started coming up in the business, I started realizing that young girls were looking up to me and younger people were looking up to me, and that — not that you want to be a role model, but it is what you are.” Barbs did not like what Eve had to say and came for her on Twitter. Eve is the stereotypical black person that likes to forget where she came from and turn her nose up to anything that doesn't fit her new 'persona' . Nicki Minaj doing the paper magazine shoot is nothing compared to her past. pic.twitter.com/z2nwHp2q7M — Tiffany Jonas-Mars (@Tiffjmb) November 16, 2017 Me after watching that video of Eve talking about Nicki Minaj pic.twitter.com/Nq19b1j6wy — This Woman (@KingThandie) November 16, 2017 Eve got a whole sextape out w/ Stevie J.. what we won’t do is bash Nicki Minaj. — Kenny G ❄️ (@DaRealKhefner) November 15, 2017 Questioning whether or not someone uses sex to make up for lack of creativity can be a fair point, but to conflate being sexual with lack moral compass is lazy and counterproductive. — Michael Arceneaux (@youngsinick) November 16, 2017 #WorkMichaelArceneaux Later, Eve fired back and explained what she meant regarding her remarks. A lot of ya’ll need to calm down AND LISTEN to what I said. I am speaking from the place I am TODAY as WOMAN and how I feel NOW!!! — Eve (@TheRealEve) November 16, 2017 Do you think Eve was being shady? Sound off in the comments below!
