Once again, the dynamic public figures Jonathan Hay and Mike Smith have reached new heights with their brand- Smith and Hay. With an abundant amount of dedication and hard work, they have now built a catalog of over 500 songs with millions upon millions of streams. After their album Jazz yielded an excellent response from listeners, they decided to come back with another jazzy album.
Smith and Hay’s most recent release, Jazz [Deluxe] is a 24 song LP that has marquee features such as Eminem affiliates Kxng Crooked and Royce da 5’9″, Cyhi The Prynce, Jerome “Bigfoot” Brailey of Parliament Funkadelic and the remaining member of PM Dawn. Smith and Hay team up with their frequent artistic collaborators Ranna Royce, King Graint, Iliana Eve, Antik, Faincarter, and The Visionary & the Architect. Also, the legendary Jazz musicians Benny Reid and Jerry Hey grace the project with most of the amazing horn sounds that are heard throughout. The combination of Smith and Hay and everyone involved left listeners with Jazz [Deluxe], which includes some great instrumentals that one can envision hearing on a cross country road trip, whether in a plane, train or automobile.
It doesn’t stop there. In addition to Jazz [Deluxe], Smith and Hay, alongside Persian producer and media personality Ranna Royce, have developed a signature sound that will be heard on the dark comedic album The Hoodlum Ball which will become available on February 14th. The LP is loaded with star studded collaborations with The Game, Riff Raff, Twista, Compton’s Most Wanted MC Eiht, Chino XL, Conway, DutchessQoNY, DJ Whoo Kid, and many more. The Smith and Hay signature sound will also be heard on The Sins of A Father [Deluxe] (March 2nd) with 15 year old Iliana Eve. This playlist LP touches on serous teenage topics such as depression, abandonment, sexual abuse, and the recent traumatic home invasion that Iliana Eve was a victim of with her father, Jonathan Hay. During the home invasion, set up by someone who was once very close to them, they were held at gun point, duct taped, and robbed.

Smith and Hay’s Mike Smith just released his Billboard charting LP Pieces of My Soul which was written, arranged, composed, produced, and performed entirely by him. Smith’s big break happened when he starred on BET’s original television series One Shot with DJ Khaled, T.I., Sway Calloway, Tech N9ne, and more. Mike Smith, King Tech, and RZA just released Chanel Sosa’s B!tch In Me through Razor Sharp Records.
Smith and Hay are off to the races in 2018 with no plans of slowing down or stopping!
